PSR... Confused...
I was reading a post here and the person writing it stated this:
a PSR (pot = 1, his bet = 1, your raise = 4) also: a more standard 2/3PSR (pot-sized raise) (pot = 1, his bet = 1, your raise = 3) So, the "pot" in both cases before we act is $2... so it seems that a PSR should be 1 + 2 (his raise plus the current "pot"). Instead it seems like it is his bet plus "what the pot would be if we called". Anyway, I've no reason to suspect the poster was wrong, but is this how you all calculate a PSR? |

Re: PSR... Confused...
You have to call the bet first before you raise.
Add your call ($1) into the pot ($2), and this becomes the new pot ($3). Now when you raise the 'pot' you are raising $3 on top of your $1 call, or $4 total. |

[/ QUOTE ] If the pot is 1 and you make a psb you bet 1 and your opponent is getting pot odds of 2:1 (He must call 1 to win the 2 in the pot). If your opponent bets 1 into a pot of 1 and you raise to 4 there is now 6 in the pot (opp bet of (1)+original pot (1)+your raise (4). He needs to call 3 more to win the 6 in the pot giving him... pot odds of 2:1 ! |
