I think I would have bet rather than relied on a cbet, given the vulnerability of your hand (there's a ton of cards that you don't want to see on the turn). Checking a flop on a scary board scares a bad player. Betting a flop on a scary board makes a bad player think that you are bluffing. If you bet and he happens to have a queen, he's almost certain to push over you. If you check and he has a queen, there's a good chance that he will check also, afraid that you are trapping him. |
