man this is too funny, you dont undersand stock options or futures just by reading OP. selling an option first is based on the idea that he stock will rize in value from the market price when sold.......options were big durring the tech boom in he mid-late 90's and very profitable. but gl!

I'm all for sweating random punts on the stock market but only if you agree to keep the strat in the business forum as I have no intention to accidentally learn anything about this guff.
