Default Re: Official Illinois has more wins than Michigan and ND combined thre

yep...great game
the only downside IMO was that Juice overthrew what should've been a TD to senior Dajuan Warren. I always kind of liked Warren and he did everything he could for a pretty bad team for awhile. He got passed up when more talented players entered the fold. I just wish Zook never used him as a rugby punter as it ruined Warren's mental state...oh well.

That was a fantasticly boring game in just the way I wanted. The Illini offense was barely stoppable. The defense came up with enough turnovers and did just enough for the nice and easy 19 point win.

BCS hopes got brighter....Fiesta Bowl would love to have the Illini with all the Illinois expats in Phoenix. Alot went right for Illinois. The only thing that didn't was Hawai'i's close victory over Nevada.

Here's what's left:

V Tech dominate the rest of the way, including a revenge smackdown of BC in the ACC title game

W Va beat UConn

Hawai'i Loss

Help if Boise could lose as well

it's an argument between Illinois, ACC 2nd team (Virginia, V TEch, or BC), BigEast 2nd team (Uconn or WVU), and midmajors (Hawai'i or Boise St) for that last BCS spot.

It's not looking like such the outside shot anymore.

The really intense debate would be a one loss boise v Illinois v 10-3 Boston College

Boise still has the cinderella and media darlings thing going even if they have zero impressive wins and a beatdown loss to Washington.

Illinois has a large alumni network, is the flavor of the month, finished strong, foothold in Chicago tv market, and more impressive wins (Wisky, Penn St, @Indiana, @tOSU) to go with 3 losses, including one to Iowa but Mizzou and Michigan aren't bad.
