I thought Id never get to make one of these threads but...
A bunch of my friends are home for spring break and one of them asks me to give him a lift so he can drop his car off for a check up / oil change, so I say sure. Turns out the wait is about two hours, so we head back to his place to shoot some hoops. About an hour later, his dad pulls up and asks us to give him a hand taking out a bunch of files from the trunk of his car. As he's grabbing some boxes, he mentions how he heard that I've made xx thousand dollars on the internet playing the hold them, and I tell him its actually about double that now. I grab a box and start to follow my friend inside while explaining how I'm still able to play with the latest changes in legislation when I hear him yell the famous "BUT HOW MUCH DID YOU LOSE?!" over my shoulder. I think that only after this has happened is anyone allowed to say they are an online poker player.

people need to start including the word NET when they talk about monetary gains from poker.
