If you really hate dropping down limits I would get at least 35BI's. If you hate it but are willing to drop if you really need to I think 25BI's will do.

personally i think $2k is fine, (at 100NL with proven winning history)

the key is to set a limit at which to drop down, and never ever convince urself to break that limit, i wd drop down to NL50 at $1000 and rebuild if it doesnt work out.

N/b i wd also 4 table to start, at least until $3000-$3500.

Agressive yes, but do'able if disciplined.

I use 120BI for 100NL, works for me.

The sticky has a few bankroll threads in it. Conventional wisdom is that a solid winning player needs 20 buy-ins. A pro needs more as a cushion. Average players and bad players obviously need more.
