You shouldn't play right before going to bed, that's probably why your dreaming about poker... Try reading a book or mag on another topic before you go to bed.

Sometimes your mind tries to process and order information while you sleep, particularly if you devote a considerable amount of time thinking about a subject and overload yourself with info. It's not shocking that if poker is an important part of your life, you dream about it.
Exercise could be of help, so you sleep deeper. Now, that doesn't mean your unconscious mind will stop doing whatever it is doing, it just means that there will be no conscious interference and that you will probably not recall it.

[ QUOTE ]
I've found that getting a lot of exercise helps me to sleep deeper and not wake up stressed from having to make tough calls and laydowns in my sleep.

[/ QUOTE ]

This along with not playing any poker, not reading any poker books, and not doing any puzzles for like 1 hour before laying down has helped me to sleep better.

Dream about hitting quads and boats... maybe they'll come true the next day... It's better than a nightmare...

I've done this for years. It's always these crazy spots with tough decisions where I'm stuck pondering my action for minutes over and over again. I hate it and it's really strange because IRL I handle tilt and the stress of poker quite well.
