How does an MBA fair against a CFA when trying to get into an i-bank? How about into the corporate headquarters of a major bank? I know its off topic but i am still trying to decide between an MBA and a CFA. The goal is to simply open a door into banking/investment for a math teacher. Thoughts appreciated.

I am abit unsure of your question, The goal is to simply open a door into banking/investment for a math teacher?

If you elaborate a little more,I will try my best to lead you on the right path.

I am looking to change careers. I have thus far been unsuccessful in landing a job with a corporate bank. I see an MBA and CFA as door openers, simply getting into the field and from their becoming successful based on performance. In other words, I need to get out of teaching and into finance/banking, so what's the best route that is also cost effective. My idea was to get my CFA, get a job with a bank and have them possibly sponsor me in an MBA program. Hope that made more sense.
