Re: college grades...
[ QUOTE ]
compete for knowledge, not grades [/ QUOTE ] lol. Very little of the worthwhile knowledge one obtains in college comes from the lecture hall. I do understand what you are trying to say though. But everyone needs to figure out what they want from college on their own. A good way to start is with an easy course load that keeps the stress level down while you get acclimated to things. |

Re: college grades...
[ QUOTE ]
3. Freshman English is generally a joke but can be challenging (maybe take an Honors course?) 4. Intro to Philosophy can be very stimulating, but is also pretty easy. If you can create a coherent argument at all then you should be fine. [/ QUOTE ] The difficulty of freshman English depends on who is teaching it. Liberal Arts colleges typically have full time faculty teaching freshman English, and that can make it more difficult than a large school, where TAs are teaching it. I always found philosophy professors to grade tough. |

Re: college grades...
All of these are retardly easy with the exception of freshman english.
I got 5's on AP lit & AP lang, and never had to take it. But i know of MANY people who got their only b bc of stupid TA's giving everyone in the class of 300 a B+ to B-. Teh problem is not a hard teacher, its a disinterested teacher. once they've read 100 papers, everything is a B. I feel so lucky i didnt ruin my 4.0 (got ruined a year later by other stuff) freshman year with english. The teachers were a joke from what i heard, but gave like 5% A's. |

its a disinterested teacher [/ QUOTE ] Maybe its cause you need to work on the difference between uninterested and disinterested. Please don't quote me an antiquated usage as validation plskthx. Side Note: I hope all decision makers are disinterested. |

Re: college grades...
Thremp,
nice. OP, I bet you could take the psych final NOW and get a reasonable grade if you have some knowledge of trivia, logic, and multiple choice concepts. Attend a few lectures and do whatever you need to do to memorize a few lists, and it's an A fo sho. |
