Default European cheques (those rectangular ones)

Does anyone know the denomination of those cool looking rectangular poker chips they use in such events as the WPT Paris or the Monte Carlo Millions? Are they usually used for high-stakes games?

Edit: They had them in Casino Royale. After a little Googling, I guess they're called plaques.

In cash games they're usually 25k. Not sure about tourneys. Gobbo said in Australia they gave him a plaque worth $1mil as payment for his 2nd place finish, and they apparently have tracking chips in them.

They seem really annoying to play with and deal with, at least from what I can see from WPT at that Aviation Club. They just seem unnecessarily bulky and not fun to handle or deal with. They annoy me.
