Re: Flopping a monster in a four way raised pot. Bet out or check?
[ QUOTE ]
Wouldn't that be the ideal situation for the PFR to pop you? If you get popped he probably has a big pair that he isn't folding when you shove on him. I mean you can't bank on getting value from more than 1 player on a board like this. [/ QUOTE ] Its even more ideal if we can get the PF raiser to shove over our raise after some other players called his initial bet. On that flop its not unthinkable that at least one other player has a hand he is willing to call with. Almost any pp is an overpair to the board. People don't fold that to the first bet that often, but they do fold to a bet and a raise in front of them. Ofcourse this all depends on the players. |

Re: Flopping a monster in a four way raised pot. Bet out or check?
Limp/calling UTG is bad with 44. REads on opponents? How they play overpairs? I think u should check- even tho people at these limits overvalue low pockets... they will bet with them too most likely. Plus gives those overpairs a chance to bet. They won't fold to a C/r, but they mite not araise a flop bet. That's probably why c/r this flop is good or c/r non-scare card turn and prob openshoving riv.

Your image and how well your opponents play greatly determine how you should proceed in this spot.
I think a good default line is c/c flop and lead the turn. |

Re: Flopping a monster in a four way raised pot. Bet out or check?
Preflop is no good.
You have the entire deck crushed. A flop c/r shows way too much strength. I'd c/c the flop and look to get frisky on later streets, or if they are stationish enough I'd weak lead the flop and then keep betting. It's really doubtful we're getting ourselves a stack here, so we just need to try to squeeze out what we can. |

I hate the limp-call with hands like this, but one thing is sure: if you aren't going to get your stack in the middle now, then WTF are you doing in the pot in the first place? If you want to make all this limp-calling even marginally profitable, you MUST get them to stack off when you hit. Maximizing for the situations where no one has an overpair or a deuce is a TERRIBLE way to play hands like this. YOu are way better off winning ZERO every time this is the case, and stacking off every time they have QQ+ or someone has a deuce than you are trying to win $50 in all cases. |

c/r smallish to build the pot unless its a passive table...If you dont think anybody will bet, then pot it right now.
