FTP now allows up to 16 tables if you ask nicely. Can you change the dropdown on the SNG B tab to include up to 16 SNGs?

I'll add this to the next release.

Hi,
No matter what I do, the "street bet - ring" is stuck on betting 3x the BB pre-flop. I've changed it to many different amts and it still always bets 3x the BB. How can I correct this?

(If I use the "fixed bet" it does what it is supposed to. That is not what I want to use though).
Thanks

It sounds like you do not have the table color calibrated so the software can determine what the street is. See the troubleshooting tips on the documentation page here:
www.dcity.org/poker/fts/default.html#TroubleshootBets
and see the section on Street bets.

Hi,

I tried this and it seemed to work for a couple of hours, but not long after it went back to not even putting anything in the betting field. I tried to calibrate it again and it still is not changing anything in the betting box. I am using the racetrack layout and am not changing anything but FTS just stops working all of the sudden. The dialog box functions seem to continue to work and the "Fixed Bet" keys create the correct bets, but I want the automatic betting to work as that is the main reason I bought the program.

Also, what is the F1 key code on the "Street Bet - Ring Game" page used for? The program initially seemed to do what it was supposed to without pressing this key. Is it supposed to be pressed at any point and if so when. BTW, I do not have the F1 key assigned to any other functions.

Also, Can you please tell me how to debug this program? I have opened the debug tool tips, but I am not sure exactly what I am looking for.

Thanks.

Hey BB,

Here's what the documentation says about the F1 key... let me know if it isn't clear:

This tab defines the betting amounts for each street (pre-flop, flop, turn, and river) when you are sitting at a Ring game table. Press the key or mouse button (F1 is default key)(set in the top box on this tab) and a predefined bet amount will be placed in the betting window. Checking the "Preset" checkbox below will automatically place in this bet in betting window (whenever you activate a table), and then all you have to do is click Bet or Raise (of course you can also click Fold or Call if you decide not to bet or raise).

So use F1 if you manually want to place the bet, or check the "preset" checkbox to automatically set the bet amount.

When you enable the debug tooltip you will see a large tooltip appear whenever a table is active (highlighted). The main thing to look at is the "Street" value, to confirm that the software is detecting what street you are on. If it is not, then the street bet feature will not work correctly, which indicates that the software is not calibrated to your software.

Let me know if the street is correct.
If it is correct until you restart the program, then there is problem with your settings being saved correctly.
Tell me what you discover, and we'll take it from there.

Hi,
Well, for whatever reason, it appears to be working correctly again, so I will have to wait to give you information. I did use the debug and it is reading all the streets, but that is when it is working.

Your description of how to use the F1 key is clear, thanks.

Default FTS - Some suggested improvements/additions

Hi Nanochip,

Here are some improvements/additions I would like to see:

1. The ability to manually set the autorebuy amount as opposed to having it autorebuy the max everytime.

2. The ability to set an absolute figure in the fixed bet fields rather than only a percentage of the pot.

3. A dedicated forum for support like PT or PAHud has. This is easy to set up on your website using the free forum software phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com/). That would make it much easier to search for answers and to answer questions. Having all the support in one thread is very inefficient and as the customer base for your program grows and more features are added, it will get increasingly more unweildy and frustrating. Now is the best time to start a dedicated forum. It will save you a lot of time as well because users can much more easily find answers to questions that have already been answered, and you can refer to specific threads to answer commonly asked questions.

Thanks!

Hey BB,
Thanks for the suggestions!
1. Unfortunately this one is not technically possible. In order to not miss a hand, the software needs to do the rebuy before the end of the hand. But in the middle of the hand, the software doesn't know if you are going to win or lose, and if it did a rebuy, you wouldn't need it if you won the hand. So it is only able to do max rebuys automatically.
2. I'm curious how you would use that in actual play. Most players seem to think in terms of percentages of the pot. If you only had a few absolute $ fixed bet amounts, it seems you would seldom have bet amounts that you would need during actual play.
3. Good idea. It is quite difficult search a specific thread on 2+2. Thanks for the link. I'll see if I can get it operational soon.

Hi Nano,

1. Couldn't you have a field for a rebuy amount less than max and if you won, you would end up at [won pot + entered rebuy figure] or [max rebuy] (whichever is the smaller figure), but if you lost you would end up at your entered rebuy figure?

2. A fixed bet would be handy for some situations that arise very frequently if the player wants to remain unwavering in his bet size in those situations. For example after the flop with 2 players following a called blind steal. There are a number of other situations that would apply as well.

I'm not suggesting that you remove the percentages choice, just that you add a fixed bet amount choice as well.

Here's a feature request, maybe to esoteric for inclusion
I like to size my cash game tables different than tournaments. This is because I play more tables and such, play smaller tables when playing cash. So the feature would be to set the table size for cash games, and the table size for tournie games.
