Default a river c/r bluff

10/20, 4k eff stacks

CO (solid regular) opens, I call 22 in the SB, BB is a fish but doesnt call. He probably has an average amount of respect for me, but I don't think we've gotten into it much. I imagine he knows i'm a winning regular.

Anyhow, flop 989 with a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] draw. I check, he checks behind. Turn is an offsuit 3. I bet most of pot, he calls somewhat quickly. River is a 6 of [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s. I check, he bets like 300 into 400, I c/r to 950 or something. yea or nay?

nay, he must expect you to bet all of your strong hands on the river given the action. I think bluffing the river is fine though

C/R bigger to like $1125. I like this because this is most likely something like TT or JJ IMO, and if it's a good solid reg, JJ or TT should be instafold to a c/r on this river on this board.

If hes callin that turn bet, he aint layin down once he gets there.

If for some reason he got to the river this way with trips, then what would make us think he folds those either...

edit- seems real thin to think he bets JJ on river.

Meh, I'm having trouble with putting him on a hand, which usually means bluffing isn't all that great.

I like this because many villains polarize their cbetting range and check behind medium strength hands as the preflop raiser. If this villain is more adept at balancing his checking behind range then the bluff is not quite as good, but vs most this seems very believable and good overall

I think you get looked up here unless he was bluffing himself.
