Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
0-3 tonight. Cincy covers the 2nd half over of 21.5 with these 24 points:
Blown call on the dropped punt gives them a free 7. Up 14 vs. a team that can't do anything offensively, they kick a 55 yd FG instead of pooch punting. WTFFSADFWEART!!@@#R! Block a punt with the back of their hand for 7. Trick play. I want to off myself right now. You can't be more on the right side of a bet. |

And I just remembered the seconds-too-late wager I tried to put on MTSU +42. Insult to injury.

Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
Bad start to the week as I'm 0-2, -2.6 units on the college games, but I did at least get it back on the Colts/Saints under.

Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
I had bad night. will review it tommorrow. Luckily my NFL picks and Cinci 2h helped cushion the blow for my losses to be minimal tonight.
Also note forgot to mention I added East carolina -5 1unit |

Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
Georgia down to -3.5 and at most books its Friday so its at -105 as well. Isn't there added value in buying the half point here and adding on another unit to Georgia?

Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
given that Pinny has it USC -116 at +3.5 and UGA +106 at -3.5 and is off from the other books, I'm going to lay off for awhile and see if the line will drop even more
worst case, I'll probably pick some up at the tail end of BetJamaica's reduced juice Friday nights. Yes, if it comes down to worst case, I'll likely buy down to the 3 as I think it's undervalued in expected lowish scoring games between SEC teams. |

Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
Ty for exact info I was looking for. I have 1unit from earlier in the week on them at -5 and will probably wait and see how it drops as well.

Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
The Oregon State game was the epitome of fluky - I wouldn't worry about that one. Of course the final makes it look one-sided, but things just have a tendency to snowball that way.
Oregon State outgained them 310-229. Cincy could have just punted on 1st down every time they had the ball except when they took over in FG range and won easily. All-American kicker missed a chip shot, Cincy true freshman makes 55-yarder... And the Oregon State punting (done by the kicker as a fill-in)...yikes. Muffed fair catch near the goal line should have been kick catch interference. Etc. |

Re: Week 2 NCAAF - project the opening lines
Well, I'm breaking my vow to never bet on Sun Belt teams in non-conference. Haven't done this in a season and a half.
Florida Atlantic +23.5 at Oklahoma State (Risk 1u to win 1.06u) The matchups do really favor FAU here though. They held MTSU to 18 yards rushing on 32 carries last week and we all saw what the Blue Raiders ground game did to Louisville. OSU loves to run the ball and is almost completely ineffective when that gets shut down. FAU's also got almost their whole team back from last year and should be one of the favorites in the Sun Belt this year. |
