Is there a way to calculate FOLD EQUITY?

I know that fold equity is based on both position, and relative stack sizes...but is there any specific numerical way of calculating fold equity?

You can select all the hands you think he bets with in pokerstove and it will tell you it's X% of total hands.

Now go back in a remove those hands he will fold.

This is Y.

Compare the two to see how often he folds.

So if he pfr 15% but only calls a 3b with top 5% of hands you have about 65% folding equity.

You can do the same for flop/etc.

Once you get folding equity, you need to know what kind of equity you have against the hands he calls.

Say you raise his bet on the turn with a FD.

He will fold to Z% of the time and when he does call you have 20% equity.

You can then do an EV calculation given the pot on the turn, how much you raise to, implied odds, etc.
