i know you dont care about tourney players, but a very well known online mtt player, annette_15 (who is only 19 and considered one of the best mtt players in the world, and the best female player), is HU in the WSOPE main event, first prize 1 million pounds, and the first person under age 21 to win a WSOP bracelet...would be a sick accomplishment indeed

[/ QUOTE ]

gobboboy already has a WSOP bracelet, he's 20 I think.

[/ QUOTE ]

no i think he was just the first under 21 to cash an event, he cashed the HORSE event, finishing 16th.

Just dont play at my tables full of fishies when you hit 100NL, k thanks. I wont move up to 200NL soon, just cashed out 3K...left with 4k again.

At least its stress free there.

lol i've been moving up when i hit 8-10 buyins on the site. i do have a full bankroll on FTP so it's not as retarded as it sounds.

In regards to the 'moving up' discussion, I take the same approach to moving limits at Mookboi.
The advantage for me is that by crushing the limits I'm currently playing over a good sample means I hit the ground running and immediately beat the next limit when I do move up.
Its variance/stress free which is very +EV for me.
100K hands at micros has taught me the basics of the game and the value of discipline/patience so I certainly don't consider it a waste of time.
I do accept not moving up quicker has probably cost me $$$.
The move up to 100NL this month has been easy and even though I had my biggest losing pot ever last night I'm winning at a nice rate although its still a tiny sample size so far.
But I have a strong enough win rate at 50NL that I know even if I run into some bad variance at 100NL, I'll still win there as the differences in skill levels are small. There is indeed more aggression at each higher level and I'm happy to adjust to them slowly and more gradually.
The approach has allowed me to be totally confident at every level I've played and I've never needed to consider moving down.
Patience, discipline and confidence are essential characteristics for every winning poker player and they are best created, IMO, by a history of strong win rates.
We all know of people moving up before they were ready, getting beaten up, moving down to rebuild, rinsing and repeating. For me, that would be too demoralising and I'm sure many players have quit the game after a few cycles of this.

I think Mookbois route is the surest, safest way to climb limits and is very sound advice for newbies, if not necessarily the most profitable way short term.
But if pursuing a more aggressive strategy works best for you, by all means, go for it.

annette_15 wins WSOPE ME:

John Tabatabai has the button. He calls, Obrestad raises to 100,000 and Tabatabai calls. The flop is {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Obrestad bets 250,000, Tabatabai raises to 750,000, Obrestad moves all in and Tabatabai calls. Tabatabai shows {5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for two pair, but Obrestad has top set with {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The turn is the {2-Clubs}, and Tabatabai is drawing dead. The river is the {Q-Hearts}. Jack Effel pauses play to count down the stacks to see if Tabatabai is covered by Obrestad. She does, and Annette Obrestad wins the 2007 WSOPE Main Event, earning £ 1,000,000! John Tabatabai is our runner-up and will take home £ 570,150.
