WSOP $1500 NL 2nd level hand
About 1/2 hour into the 2nd level of the $1500 WSOP event 35 (50/100). I am in the big blind with $2900 in chips (starting stack $3000). Very LAG player moved to the table about 1/2 hour ago, he starts the hand with about $2000 in chips. He has pushed all in with Q5 and shown down nothing but weak hands.
Folds around to the LAG on the button and he pushed all in. I have AK suited. Is this an obvious insta-call? This could easily be a race, do I want to jeapordize 2/3 of my stack so early for a race? |

Re: WSOP $1500 NL 2nd level hand
I would say you can fold this hand. Some players will try to make that move, show over lots of weak hands and when they finally do get a monster they do the exact same so they are looking "weak". Since it is early on in the tourny just let it go. Its not the only big hand you are going to get. Like you said chances are you are 50/50. Wait until you have a made hand and then stick it to him. Donks like that usually dont last very long.

Re: WSOP $1500 NL 2nd level hand
Well, I called.
He had QJo I hit a king on the flop He turned a straight I was down to $900 in chips I was up at least %65-%35, just still not convinced it was the right play if he had TT or any pair for that matter. Then again he still would have hit his hand even if I had AA. In truth I would prob make that call 95% of the time... |
