NL10 Third king falls on turn.
Villain is regular TAG. Not bluffing very often.

Re: NL10 Third king falls on turn.
I call and try to get to showdown pretty cheaply. I can see him with KTs, K9s, 88-JJ here too. I think the times you run into AK, QK or a set are less often that you run into hands you beat here.

Re: NL10 Third king falls on turn.
well, he'll have less than $2 less if he makes that call. this is a pretty bad spot if this guy doesn't defend his blinds often or 3bet out of the blinds with hands like AK.
i don't think there's anything wrong with betting the flop here, but with that type of hand, making a little smaller bet is probably better. personally, i like to check this behind quite often, especially against a tight/agressive player when i'm on the button. |

Yes I think this is shove or fold.

Re: NL10 Third king falls on turn.
You are pretty much obligated to stack off here but I don't really like it at all.
Villain's c/c on flop then min c/r on turn screams strength. This is a bad spot. |

Re: NL10 Third king falls on turn.
Well, if he's pretty tight, I don't like the turn bet all that much. What is he going to be calling with here? The only hope is that he thinks you're bluffing and calls you down with something like TT, but that's unlikely. So once he makes this c/r, I think his range is likely to be boats and a few Ks, which you aren't doing that great against.
Of course, there's a strong chance your read is off, in which case stack off. |

Re: NL10 Third king falls on turn.
I'd shove here. The chances of you being up against AK, KQ, 55 or 77 are small enough for this to be a profitable move. I doubt he'd call your raise preflop with K7 or K5...

[ QUOTE ]
I call and try to get to showdown pretty cheaply [/ QUOTE ] Given the stack sizes / pot sizes this is impossible. The rest of the $s are goining in on the river 100% of the time. The turn is shove or fold. I'd usually say shove because this is NL10, but if villian is a decent TAG I fold this. Also if villian is a decent TAG I check behind on the turn. |
