Default deja vu

Posted a nearly identical 10/20 hand here yesterday. villain seems tight (only 84 hands, but 16/13/2)

fish limps, i raise 33 on button. tight bb calls. flop is A 7 3 w/ 2 clubs. i bet, fish folds, bb calls. turn is 4 of clubs. big blind checks/calls. riv is a non club 5, and he donks. can i fold, getting 8:1. yesterday everyone said, 'nooooo'!!, but i feel, based on my experience, that im actually not good here once in nine times, in such situations. i will have to start keeping a tally.

No, folding is a bad idea. villain seems ridiculously unlikely to have a 2 and is most likely to just have an Ace. I'd be considering a raise here.

also, is the A on board the A of clubs?

Willy,

he could also have a 6.

But still, never fold this.

If you're considering folding here you are very much running bad. Just be glad he didn't c/r you.

Making this fold is a good sign you're retarded.

yeah i dont get it. he shouldnt really have a straight too often. random aces and Ax hands that made two pair are common. very trivial call for one more bet

okay, so everyone says call. i swear, though, this exact scenario in a vaccum, the last 1000 hands ive played (at least hands similar to this), i am not good often enough to call (against players with these stats, despite their otherwise anonymous nature).

sieg,

you have called me with much worse hands in vaguely similar situations. you can not fold this. he can have 75s, A5, A9/AT/AJ/AQ, whatever. the pot is big and its one bet to show down. so you must have been running bad the last billion times this has happened because everyone thinks it's an easy call, and it is.

Looks close between call and r/f.
