I gotta say this has become one of the worst threads ever posted on 2+2.

Makes you wonder why the hell people keep bumping it, like I just did.

I don't like the way the bill was passed either, but that is the way many bills are passed in our system of government.

[/ QUOTE ]

Apparently, this is not the way democrats pass bills in our system of government.

How quickly you forget. Not very long ago, Democrats held both houses for many, many decades - and it's the same old crap, just on the other side of the aisle.

I remember reading that thread you posted. What junk.

I just saw Mason's lawyer in the background behind Anderson Cooper on a live feed from Dufar on CNN. He was desparately clutching a piece of paper believed to be the long-awaited statement.

Yes, but did you see the wild dog that ran in and snatched the paper? I am not certain...it happened so quickly...but I believe the dog may have eaten the statement.

Does anyone know if there is a video replay of this scene online anywhere so I can confirm this???

I'm sorry - Senator Frist disgusts me on several levels - but noone should be calling him a Nazi. The Nazis killed something like 50 million people in World War 2 and were as close to the human embodiement of evil as I hope any of us see in our lifetime.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fundamentally, I don't see much of a difference.

Actually, I'm not so sure it was a dog that ate the vaunted statement. I believe it may have been a cat. And we all know how much luck those particular animals have had when going up against Sen. Bill Frist, MD.

In all honesty, this thread, from start to "finish," is a PERFECT encapsulation of the ignorance and sillyness that was the poker industry's approach to the UIGEA before it was passed.
