Default KJ FROM SB .25/.50

The pf raiser in this hand raised 100% of hands pf. Is there any room for improvement here? In my last post, you guys told me to donk the flop in a similar situation, so I suppose I should have done that here, as well.

Check-raise the flop and it's not even close.

Why do we always somehow end up on hand protection?

i probably donk the flop
that board is semi-connected and a lot of draws will be calling ... and even raising - which will give you a chance to 3bet
you could checkraise also ... both are options
w
hat is not an option is check-calling
and then donking the turn, on a card that kind of makes the board semi-crappy
and then donking the river on another card that makes your hand even worse

what the hell was going on in your head - donuts?

Is that not why we check/raise?

It's not for protection, it's for getting most value bets in when you have the best hand. I don't see any reason to slowplay this against loose aggro villain.

Protection here is a remote second, but notice that even gutshots will have correct odds to draw for one bet, for example QT, Q9, J9, AT, AQ, T9. You d wanna knock those out or make them draw incorrectly.
