Default 2 pair against laaag, easy call? NL400

villain is very laggy. I've seen him get way too involved with 55 right to the end on QT8Q8.

OnGame - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 5 Players - from memory

SB: $800
BB: $500
Hero UTG: $400
CO: $1200
(Villain) (BTN): $800

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG raises to $15.00, CO folds, Villain calls $15.00, all else fold

Flop: ($34.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $25.00, Villain calls $25.00

Turn: ($84) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $72.00, Villain calls $72.00

River: ($228) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, Villain bets $300 putting me All-In, Hero?

you have ~ 300 on the river?

seems like a good spot to block bet

wow, sick spot. I'd fold given the fact that he knows you saw him bluffing with the underpair on the double paired board so it seems unlikely that he'd do it again. I also find that overbets like that are usually for value....

other reads would help alot. Was he a thinking player or just a spewtard?

He seemed to be a thinking player but if I told you what he showed up at the river with you'd never believe it.

Tough to see how he could have a king here and given that you checked the river I'd call hoping he turned ace-little into a bluff or is value shoving worse 2 pairs.

I was thinking about recommending a blocking bet, but I'd hate to have to fold to a shove. So guess c/c is best.

what did he show, K-6? I can see that if he was a dumbass and didn't put you on an Ace, or was trying a ridiculous float...

I suppose, but that's a loose call on the flop...

KJ would just be gross, Terrible call on turn, and if he had KQ wouldn't he shove on turn, since the bettor is showing strength?

You've seen him overplay/attempt to get villain to fold trip Queens or better, I'd be glad to look him up here.

Lags love turning 2pairs into bruffs and given his history expect him to do so here, he realises you don't have a straight - you would be value-betting or shoving yourself.
