Default Stars VIP Wild speculation

Just a couple days till the new year, but stars hasn't announced the changes to the VIP program quite yet.

I'm interested to see what you guys think the changes will be for the higher tiers- 200k, 300k, 500k 750k (I think) are the new levels. And speculation with regards to the new freeroll changes.

Lets hear it!

This is so easy.... 10 million vpps gets you a 1st class cabin on the first ship to Alpha Centuri..... they're taking so long to announce it because they need to make sure they have sufficient fuel....

i got this because I am going to fall about 15k VPPs short of SuperNova and was trying to reason with them.

Hello John,

Thank you for your email. We are not able to make exceptions. The VIP
program will only improve in 2007 and the rewards for a player of your
size will be huge. We will have rewards for making 200k, 300k, 400k, 500k
and 750k VPPs in 2007.

Regards,

Scotty
PokerStars VIP Team

do u guys think that u will have to make that amount of VPP SPECIFICALLY in 2007 to get the new rewards, or will VPP earned in 2006 count too.

i really hope it's specifically 2007. even though i have about 250,000 VPPs, i only played for about half of the year. the way they have been making it sound, everything will reset on the new year.

as for my predictions, i think the highest tier will include a free WSOP package. the lower ones might have some other free entires (satellites, WCOOP, etc). at least, i hope.

I made a suggestion awhile ago that they should do the SuperNova qualification based on a rolling 12 month calendar. Scotty seemed receptive to the idea at the time, and said they hoped to have something "fair for everyone in December".
I think going to a rolling calendar would help a lot of us that started playing Stars hardcore in October and are ending up a little short in hitting the 100K VPP's, and I don't see it would be unfair to anyone... comments?

there was a huge ~150 post thread on this a few weeks ago. General concensus is that its just not gonna happen.

Loving this thread. Been really educating myself about stars vs FTP and other sites in terms of rakeback. And I believe I came to the conclusion that starting in 2007 I will start logging in HUGE hours to get SN asap because of the 30%+ rakeback benefits. And if I continue to be a winning player, then why not keep on working just as hard for the 200k and 300k SN status... This VIP club is genius, makes us all work really hard to generate rake for stars either to complete SN status before 2007 is up and ALL the grinders like myself ready to fire up all cylinders to get SN status in 2007, it's a win-win.
