Default i am not in vegas? (tales from the cardroom continued)

so i promised myself (and in my last oot post when the question of whether or not dry humping had ever gone out of style) to try and share whatever the most amusing conversation or happening at my cardrooom each night was........i hope this one translates into words, because it was priceless to witness.

we gave away a trip to Vegas a few weeks ago and one of our regular players won the trip and went to sin city, he had a great time, won some cash and just returned in high spirits ready to play some poker with the boys and tell a few stories and have a few drinks, well he was successful in more ways than one.

the game started at 4pm and was going full throttle almost 12 hours later when the following scenario came up....

our "hero" the Vegas trip winner had a few cocktails and was both being a bit argumentative and surly in general, which is in his nature, but not totally out of line from a general behavior standpoint. So he gruffly tries to order a drink from the bartender/server at almost 4 in the morning. well this is a problem because the alcohol stops flowing at 2am (state law) and he couldn't understand why he couldn't get another drink. The bartender patiently told him for the third time that it was past bar time and he couldn't serve him. he then turns to the table and says "this is b.s., i thought you could drink all night here, but they shut you down just like in montana."

he was dead serious. The dealer says to him "uh, you are in Montana" which i think confused him even more and he says "i am?, what time is it?" someone says 3:30, he says, (not making this up) "in the afternoon huh" response, no at night. he then offers up this beauty, "wow i lost 10 hours somehow"

10 hours?? what about the flight home yesterday and the trip to the cardroom this afternoon?? where exactly did those get "lost" at? anyone, anyone!! not to mention losing 10 hours when you mix up am and pm,

the whole table laughed for about 15 straight minutes at this poor guys confusion and math when it comes to the basic workings of a clock. this is all from a guy who has spent a minimum of 40hrs a week in this cardroom for the last 10 years and believe me no one has ever confused it with vegas.

that is my tale from last night, hopefully i will have something for you in the next couple days to share a laugh about.

so my question for B&M is have you ever gotten home confused with anywhere else? much less Vegas?
let me know, maybe this one happens all the time.

cheers. J.
