[ QUOTE ]
anyone else love sports and hate sports movies?

[/ QUOTE ]

I hate most sports movie since they're all the same movie, for the most part.

Rocky 1,3 and 4 I love.
Major League is my fav baseball movie. (I guess you have to really love baseball to like FoD)
Never seen a good basketball movie.
Remember the Titans was okay, only football movie I can remember seeing that was decent.
Tin Cup, Caddyshack, and Happy Gilmore are excellent.

Remember the Titans is a great movie becuase it doesnt end with the underdog winning it goes beyond and has a more serious meaning.

It's number two for me after Shawshank. FoD just sums up my relationship with my dad perfectly.

Re: the Natural, jack is right. If you want to keep enjoying in on TBS reruns, never, EVER, read the book.

surprised how long it took both caddyshack and tin cup to be mentioned.

Favorite still though is Field of Dreams...

surprised that nobody mentioned Any Given Sunday.

Some of my favorites that come to mind are The Sandlot, White Men Can't Jump, Tin Cup, and A League of Their Own. There are a number of other great ones, but I think listing 20+ is a bit much.
