Re: South Park starts up again tonight 10/3
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] They are not necessarily done 100% the week they air, but yeah, they pretty much don't exist a month prior to the airing. That's why they are always current, and yes, that's why not every episode is a high concept. It, however, makes for the best possible job imaginable when you factor in how much time they work a year and how much $$$ they get. [/ QUOTE ] IMO the show suffers from this overall (3 weeks would be fine!)... [/ QUOTE ] I disagree and I think Trey and Matt have even talked about it on the DVD's about how when they think too long about an episode or try to do too much, it ends up sucking. Whereas when they are a Thursday before a show without a single clue what to put out there in the next 6 days, they end up turning out gems. This is how they operated for a great deal of Season 8 (were tapped for ideas and busy finishing Team America) and I thought this was one of their better seasons. |

[ QUOTE ] I think this is back to good SP. More small jokes, ripping/satiring a bunch of different [censored] and less of an overall "satire theme" which hvae been hit or miss and seemed forced/too obscure in the past. Pumped to see where this is going. [/ QUOTE ] imaaaaaaaaaaaagionation..... imaaaagtionation... imaaaaaaaaaaagionation [/ QUOTE ] I thought this was a hilarious rip on LoTR and Family Guy (even though I really liked LoTR), but it might be because I was blazed at the time (which is the best way to watch SP). |

Re: South Park starts up again tonight 10/3
FWIW The episode by itself is prob like an 8.5-9/10 but when you consider the future expectation of the next two episodes it becomes much higher.

AlexM, you are confused at someone calling it a 10/10 (ridic, yes) but you said "the only thing I laughed at was Michael Bay." If that's even close to true, I have no idea why you're watching the show. [/ QUOTE ] Who is that chic in your avatar? Source? |

Re: South Park starts up again tonight 10/3
Kinda random but I just caught a rerun of the episode where the boys try to build a clubhouse to play truth or dare with some girls. Really awesome episode, so many subtle things that make it great. Probably one of the best SP episodes for it's time.
