[ QUOTE ] Downtown consider the 777 Brew Pub at Main Street Station. [/ QUOTE ] Not a bad place when I tried it out two years back. Not really a "cool" place, but decent food and beer, where you could kind of just chill with your friends. [/ QUOTE ] For "cool" go across the street to the new hip lounge "Downtown" on Las Vegas Blvd. |

Re: Quick Vegas bar question.

[ QUOTE ] Everybody loves Carnival Court. Everybody. It's not a sports bar, by any stretch. But it's got a live music stage, bartenders with flair, food, it's outdoors, and people just rave about how wonderful it is. [/ QUOTE ] I hate that place, so not "everybody". I'd choose a chill locals lounge with sports on TV anyday over carnival court. [/ QUOTE ] It's actually Carnaval Court- don't ask me why. And I hate that place too. We liked the Monte Carlo Brew pub, not too crowded and decent beers.

Blondie's at Planet Hollywood in the shop area is a blast and good snack foods.
Madalay Bay has a few very good lounges. Napoleons in Paris is very nice a little upscale. Ice House down by Freemont This would be much easier if we knew what part of town you are staying in. |

Re: Quick Vegas bar question.
Monte Carlo brewpub. Are they still serving bottles in the poker room? I loved to go donk it up and drink lots of microbrews in that room..also the single blind made the 2/4 game kind of ridiculous to drink at
I always like just hitting a sports book when I'm drinking with the fellas. Might as well get comped while watching games |

Re: Quick Vegas bar question.
The ESPN ZONE in the New York New York is a great place to watch games and have drinks. They even have a sportsbook right outside the place, so you can place some wagers without having to go so far.

Tommy [/ QUOTE ] After spending a long hot day walking up and down the strip shopping the wife and I had to kill 3 hours before we were to leave for the airport. We stumbled into this bar and ended up in the recliner seats in the front- it was heaven. Nice AC after walking in the sun, cold beer, and 6 TV's in front of you and you could control which TV got its sound piped thru the chair's speaker. It had a nice food tray and cup holder too. |
