Re: FT Sweat--WCOOP Shootout
Ajung, if you don't post an unaltered version of that hand after the tourney's over (where he timed out), we will fight.

Re: FT Sweat--WCOOP Shootout
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] it doesnt matter if you have 5 listeners or 5,000, you're supposed to give a [censored] about your production quality to the degree that the most well known player at the table by far is at least acknowledged - they're [censored] up by still providing strategic content that the players at the FT can still clearly listen to - they're [censored] up by treating every single player the same and not acknowledging accomplishments (eg THE _D_RY being one of the best SNG players on stars, adam being adam fucing junglen, Dumping"KGB" beign a well known mtter aka PXFACTOR, lyerly's accomplishments") [/ QUOTE ] I believe this is partly intentional. [/ QUOTE ] It's absolutely intentional. In response to the earlier complaining about radio chat which could in any way affect the action, we've eliminated the mention of players' past accomplishments, as pointing out that someone is an experienced player highlights them to the others at the table. That was the argument made, and so we've appeased that particular complaint, along with a major reduction in any kind of strategy talk. The players are of course free to "out" themselves if they wish, and in fact we have highlighted several who have done so and who wished to be recognized... and we have mentioned previous WCOOP accomplishments *after* they've been eliminated, as well. yes, but nowhere near to the degree of openly stating opinion of the hand going on with strategy. i'll give you that my argument is a little contradictory, but the value of the viewer being able to identify players beyond their simple screen names brings more to the table in production quality and is definitely worth it. [/ QUOTE ] Probably. On a side note, I asked - I believe - BadgerPro about the commentary when he was at the FT and he said he doesn't mind because they won't say anything the players aren't aware of already. I happen to agree with that. Still, since others are objecting to it they probably need to reconsider the whole thing. |

Re: FT Sweat--WCOOP Shootout
The broadcast team can't have it both ways. They can't keep calling Junglen "AJ" and then go and note that the table texture should be more particularly passive because players should be waiting on Dumping KGB to bust.
