Re: *POLL* Who do you stake for the 2007 WSOP Main Event?
We passed up him and Reggie Bush because our GM and owner believed that a guy who did really, really awesome in the combines was worth passing up on two sickly talented players. Mario Williams, why?????????????????????????????????????????????

Re: *POLL* Who do you stake for the 2007 WSOP Main Event?
Ivey isn't particularly interested in his tournament game recently. Seems like Matusow has been the most consistent at the WSOP recently.

Re: *POLL* Who do you stake for the 2007 WSOP Main Event?
Almost every poker question like this should be reworded to "If you couldn't pick Phil Ivey", because yes, it's that obvious

Harrington, Raymer, and Chan deserve to be listed for their back to back feats. I'd still go with Ivey though.

[ QUOTE ]
is this a joke? Ivey is about 30 times more likely than any of them except Cunningham. He makes it deep almost ne year and gets chip way faster than Cunningham which allows him better shots to make it deep usually. I stake Ivey 99.8% of the time, and Cunningham 0.2% of the time. They are a new breed and way better than the vets. [/ QUOTE ]would you like to prop bet against these claims? |

Re: *POLL* Who do you stake for the 2007 WSOP Main Event?
Tiffany Williams.
I could use the tax losses. Cunningham would be your best bet here, nice slow and steady right to the money to get a nice easy return. I don't think he can win the whole thing, but I know of all of them, he is the one person who shows a lot of consistency. Ivey for me comes a close second, I like Cunningham's syle better. This question is very different than "Who do you think will win the WSOP Main Event? It's one thing to invest in someone to show you a nice return, and it's anothe thing altogether to invest in someone because you think they will win it, but deep down you know there is a high "bust out" factor. Farha, Negreanu and Hellmuth can certainly win it all, but Farha's wild style, Hellmuth's inability to cope with over 6000 amateurs and Daniel's love of getting involved in a lot of hands can go one of two ways, they either get a huge chip lead and plow through, or cards run the other way and el busto. So volatility is fairly high there. You could either win a ton with them, or win nothing to very little. With guys like Cunningham and Ivey, because of their styles, you know that you will get a fairly nice return on your money and with a certain run, they do have the ability to win. THE HUN. |

Re: *POLL* Who do you stake for the 2007 WSOP Main Event?
Where is the Jamie Gold option? He's the only one who can win two in a row at the moment.
I picked Matasow only because I don't think Phil Ivey is interested in poker right now. I think Mike is willing to gamble enough to get deep if he gets a little lucky. |

Farha has the skills and game play to be my choice.
This is coming from a jew in favor of a lebanese. |
