River: ($212.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Rather than getting that in on the flop, would it perhaps be a better line to simply call and c/f the turn?

Any help appreciated

calling and check/folding the turn is the worst line possible.

Getting it in on the flop is fine.

What can Villain call with here that you're beating?
The way this was played, it seems like you're either way ahead (Villain has AQ or underpair), way behind (Villain has AA or KK), or in a split situation (I don't see Villain folding AK here). Doesn't seem like the ideal situation for a shove.
I guess sometimes Villain might take that line w/ AQ and then call the push.
Also, the flush draw doesn't seem very likely here (and you shouldn't be too worried about the runner runner flush draw).
What am I missing? I hate to say it, but I think I prefer calling the flop and reevaluating on the turn. If he's doing this with an underpair, he'll probably shut down on turn, but if he has something like AQ or AJ, I want to give him a chance to bluff off his money. Seems better than scaring off the only hands you can beat.
When 3rd diamond turns, I probably push, regardless of what Villain does.

^^^ that was my thinking. I'm not beating much that calls me with.

Although why would you shove the third diamond out of interest?

I don't know what sites you're playing, but where I play, I expect to see calls from a worse A, flush draws and such. Shoving flop is fine, though I think Hero should've bet more, like $15 or so. The pre-flop min-raise and the flop check-min-raise feels like AA or KK, but I would have a hard time laying down top two here.

Just noticed villain made a small re-raise preflop. This looks like AA/KK. I would fold here.

Or it could be a Rahme-ish play with QQ.

Nothing wrong with stacking off here. If you ran into a set, tough luck.

at what point do you fold? The flop after his min cr? Or calling that and re-evaluating turn (c/f) ?
