Villain is 28/5 and pretty aggro - likes to raise a lot... not a manic, but likes to bully a bit.

When I played this hand, I had a really strong feeling that villain was on a draw here, or had air, I can't see any of his range hitting this flop, apart from a random T, but I just could not convince myself to call here.

Is a call ever correct with a strong read?

Thanks - just wanted to check - I think you are right, he is probably not doing this with an FD enough of the time, and I am behind any PP. I just had one of those feelings at the time...

That was what I was thinking, but its still 50BB... I think that SnffnMrkrz is right - even if he does have the FD, we are still going to loose a lot, and any PP or pair is ahead.

I was pretty sure about my read - I reckoned he has a draw here or air about 70% of the time... but... I have very little invested in the pot and am getting pretty poor odds on my call. TBH I think a call here would have been -EV, but I think that it would have been pretty close and so I was wondering if anyone else would ever call AI with A high in this situation...

I don't really like the pf raise there, gotta figure the limper is going to call with just about anything for only .30 more and he has position on you.

I think I meant to raise to .50 (4xBB + 1xlimper) but a raise here is a must. Limping here would be pure spew. I want more money in the pot preflop so that if I do hit my hand I am going to get paid off... My raise pre-flop is standard.
