All;

I never really realized what a powerful tool PokerEV was.
You can filter hands VERY specifically to find leaks (under the statistics tab).

For example:
This might be super embarrasing, but when I filter my hands to show only hands where 'action on river is a call' by me, I am down $1217.50 this month (-1.6bb/hand)

Can some other people run this filter and let me know if I'm just a terrible calling station?

[/ QUOTE ]

It should be like this if you consider pot odds. You sould definately not have a positive winrate when you call the river.

Plus you are calling to win the entire pot, not just that specific bet. So the pot is offering you an overlay that's not included in that stat (I think). Or is it?

[/ QUOTE ]

you are correct

Uhmmm..what?

I thought you called on the river with pot odds because you had that much of a chance to win. So if you get 3:1 on the call, then you need to be good enough to make that call reasonable.

I think if you are down substantially it is a leak, as your "pot odds" call should be made when you have enough equity in the hand.

I very well may be missing something here though so feel free to correct me if I screwed that up lol

In a nutshell, when you call a river bet and win the pot, this filter doesn't count the whole pot as having been won on that street. In other words, if you call and win, the filter only counts the money won on that particular river bet.

At least it was quick. How much do I get, $200?

+ $400 in prop bets = not bad for $15!
