Default PLO 100: Did I play this turn well?

I was very confident villain has TJ in the hole.

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $1.00 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($95.80)
BB ($107.40)
UTG ($142.80)
UTG+1 ($94)
Hero ($211.35)
MP2 ($182.65)
MP3 ($11.10)
CO ($24.25)
Button ($56.70)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero calls $1, MP2 calls $1, MP3 calls $1, 1 fold, Button calls $1, 1 fold, BB checks.

Flop: ($5.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($5.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5, MP2 raises to $15, MP3 folds, Button folds, BB folds, Hero calls $10.

A call seems reasonable here if I want to try and maximize my river EV if I luckout with a club. This worked this time, but is this a good play?

River: ($35.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $15, Hero raises to $40, MP2 calls $25.

You should reraise the turn.

so on the turn you have the nuts, and you want to maximize your EV by trying to hit the 3rd nuts on the river?

Your logic is completely assbackwards here. If you put villain on TJ you should be reraising pot on the turn. A checkraise on the river with the third nuts is a horrible play as well.

See this logic confuses me. If I'm afraid to play the third nuts when it hits, and I'm able to narrow the field before I get here with another lesser but yet strong hand, then shouldn't I just call the turn, and keep the pot small so that I don't lose a big pot?

The third nuts on the river OOP is a pretty crappy hand to be checkraising with, especially when it's the obvious draw that's just filled.

The point is that on the turn you have the nuts with a v. good two pair and the third nut flush draw, and you are up against the nuts. You don't want to smooth-call because you want to get as much money into the pot while you are freerolling him - the way you played it, you are generally unlikely to get more money into the pot when you do hit one of your two draws. Keeping the pot small is the last thing you want to do here.

I don't like your play on this hand.

I bet the flop and raise the turn. This is a freeroll opportunity with one card left.
