Re: NBA draft disccusion thread
Deal is obv a joke.
For some reason there has been an influx of ridiculously bogus rumors coming out of GS. Another one I heard is Monta Ellis for number 11 LOLOLOL If I'm Boston, I trade #5 plus Delonte West or Gerald Green for Biedrins. |

Re: NBA draft disccusion thread
So the consensus is Julian Wright between 10 and 17?
Does he make more money, hypothetically, if he waits a year for a weaker draft? Or would he be nuts to leave, say, top 15 money on the table? (All things equal, he would have rather played another year at KU...) |

They were supposed to go mid first round last year, and are looking at late first or second round right now. 2. More years in NBA = more money. |

Vyse...the point of my post was that Evans really sucks, Noah is likely going to be a solid 4th/5th starter or rotation player, and that Chandler is the best rebounder in the game, a defensive presence, and on the national team. AKA Noah couldn't be as bad as Evans, and couldn't be as good as Chandler. [/ QUOTE ] Evans really doesn't suck. He's a productive moderately cheap bench player. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't see any reason why Noah can't be a solid 3rd starter / very good 4th starter. Why is everyone bitching about him? |

Re: NBA draft disccusion thread
Few notes:
- Hawes isn't going to be a bust imo. I'm not sure people really have any reason for saying that beyond race. - I will be happy if we (Supes) can do the Luke for the #11 or Ray for #5 deals. - DURANT DURANT DURANT DURANT DURANT - Noah and Brewer can't shoot, that's bad. |

Re: NBA draft disccusion thread
Dids,
Race is a very good reason to think Hawes is going to be a bust. In terms of crackers, I actually prefer your boy Swift up in Seattle. Noah is also a 67 percent career FT shooter in college. This is really not bad for a big man at all. That said, I don't expect him to be stepping back and knocking down 16 footers a la Jermaine O'Neal. Something Clever, Everything I've seen/read suggests Brewer does not have NBA range on his 3ball. |

Re: NBA draft disccusion thread
SC,
Brewer's jumper makes me cry. It's [censored] ugly. Noah's is worse. I like both players, I just think they're both very likely to be drafted higher than makes sense. Noah esp. GKA, Hawes has more offensive polish now than Swift did then. He's got a frame that can take some weight. He played most of the college season 20 lbs below his norm because he got sick. I am glad that you're one of the few people who realizes that Swifty isn't a bust yet. (random NBA rant- people draft guys as projects and then wig out when they don't preform in the 2nd year). |

[/ QUOTE ]\ Wow good point. 37 percent on eFG% from jumpers last year. Eek. Then again, Indiana's offense was beyond disfunctional. However, jumpers did account for 69 percent of his field goals, regardless of how successful he was. We are being Assani level nitpickers right now though. |
