Default Satellite Bubble to $650 Qualifier

top 5 win. 7 left. This is a very weird hand that occurred. Usually, this is an easy fold, because SB is calling any 2 based on his play, and probably correct too. But he was SITTING OUT. I thought my hand was way ahead of MP2's range, and wasn’t sure if shoving as a 60/40 favorite was the best way for me to win. This was right after break, so chances were SB would return soon, and he sat out only 1 hand before too, so chances of me stealing his stack were slim, plus they would get stolen before me anyway. And I would have to fold my SB every time to him if he got back. So, what do I do?

With the Big Blind at t3000, I think that you have to shove.

Did MP2 really not go AI ? Anyway, he could almost be playing any two cards, and I dont think that you have time to wait for a better hand.

Basically, I think that you would have had a better chance of making the top 5 by playing this hand, than if you folded and hoped for 2 other players to go out before you did.

Actually there was a 150 ante, so he did go allin. Now that I've thought about it, I think I should have stalled as long as possible until SB came back. Even if he didnt come back, I think folding might be the right decision. That would leave BB w about 7650 and UTG w about 7650 too, plus they would have to pay the next hand's blinds. So, I think I would be able to absorb the blinds 1 more orbit and then some. And during this time, BB and UTG would HAVE to go allin before me. And hopefully the 2 big stacks will call them down and they wont get lucky. This view also assumes the 2 big stacks call when the two shorties shove, which I think works fine with the two big stacks at my table. Other opinions?

I also think he could be playing any two, but even if he was, sometimes the best strategy is to fold even as a favorite.
