Default River call 4th pair 100NL

BB is very loose, shortstack. not noticeably passive or aggressive, but very loose preflop. anyone like this? thoughts on all streets are fine. i think flop may be close too.

I don't think he expects you to fold here, so that doesn't bode well.

I think the better line is check/call flop. sooo many hands that he can continue on that have you beat /crushed. JK, Q 10, 99,1010, JQ, random diamonds.

BTW do you ever try limp/ re raising utg with weird hands like j9s?

care to elaborate? i disagree because an ace came, which is a scare card usually.

Well obviously it's a tiny easy to call bet. Also after you check behind the turn, he probably figures you have either some sort of draw or a whiffed ace high. On the river, he doesn't need to bet you off whiffed draws, so he'd probably c/c shakey stuff - this looks like he's begging for a call here. Maybe you see a weirdo weak bluff here with a whiffed draw of his own, but not often enough IMO.

question: what kinds of hands do you think a loose player would check-call on the flop with? in decending order, from most common.

I dont lead flop, as played.
Fold river just wait for a better spot, if he was floating with A high even he just got there, what else could he have been floating with, just a king high? Not likely.
