They realize they are screwed and TJane pulls out the gun but it only has 4 bullets left. So Jane says he will figure out something to do given there is no 5th bullet. So they kidn of all agree to let Jane kill them/commit suicide. His son wakes up and looks at his dad in horror and then you hear 4 shots and cut to Jane in car crying and screaming and banging [censored]...they are all dead obv. He then gets out of car screaming at mist..come and get me u bastards etc. You hear groans etc that the monsters make in the mist...he keeps yelling..etc but nothing kills him. then out of the mist comes the monster to kill him...cept he realizes its an army tank with soldiers behind it. Then like in a split second the mist is gone and he see the dudes flamethrowing [censored] like the spiders n stuff..and he falls to his knees screaming at the sky as two soldiers look on in gas masks like "why is the dude screaming at the sky". the end. Also as all this is happeneing he sees a car go by and in it is the woman who in the beginning of the movie is the first person to go out in the mist cuz she left her daughter at home and sometimes the babysitter forgets to look after her blah blah blah. The one no one has the guts to escort home. It actually wouldnt have been as awful and ending if it just ended with Jane walking and disapearing into the mist...but the whole Army showing up right after he assistants in the suicide of everyone including his son..plus the mist just vanishes when the army shows up....very very very dumb. </font>

But it doesn't really sound that bad unless it was waaaaaay over-the-top.

[/ QUOTE ] uhhhh <font color="white"> the whole movie is about them fighting to stay alive n for TJane to keep his son alive. n when they run out of gas they immediatly decide to commit suicide and TJane blows his sons brains out and everyone elses then he challenges the monsters in the mist to kill him n then a tank shows up and everyone is saved and he screams at the sky knowing if he had just waited 5 minutes before killing his son they woulda been saved. lets not get into the fact that mist suddenlly vanishes for no reason n the girl who left the supermarket is somehow alive and like 90 miles away from town. </font> u think that doesnt sound bad esp given how perfect the original book ending was?

lol @ that being a bad ending it's basically the ending 28 Days Later should have had, and sounds awesome. [/ QUOTE ] man some of u guys have such bad taste in film and no concept of how to construct a good story. again <font color="white"> it doesnt end with Jane killing them all then dying or walking into the mist to most certainly his death. it ends with Thomas Jane being rescued 5 minutes after he kills everyone in the car. And the mist which was as far as the eye could see suddenly vanishes and he can see all the way to the horizon. plus the chick that left the supermarket is ALIVE eventhough thats impossible given how the story unfolded, and she is now 90-100 miles south of the supermaket she left. So 4 things happen in a row which make no sense what so ever...and then Thomas Jane does a laughable bad acting job or screaming at himself/god/whoever as two dudes i gasmasks watch him. </font> imagine 28 days later if <font color="white">at the end Cillian n the girls are in in the cabin with zombies outside knocking on the door and they all agree to commit suicide, but Cillian only has two bullets so he kills both of them then opens the door to let the zombies kill him, but its not zombies it a couple of police officers who saw their sos sign and are there in their helicopter to fly them home. then Cillian drops to his knees and goes ahhhhhhh.....ahhhhhhhhh.....ahhhhhhhh....ahhhhhhh. all the while the pilots looks at him like " why does this guy keep going ahhhhhhhh?" </font> thats how u thought 28 days later should?

Just read the book last night, pretty scary stuff and cant wait for the movie. I hope the movie ending will be better than the books ending though.

[/ QUOTE ] lol...I'm not saying it sounds great or anything, but if I'm trying to market a horror movie I certainly don't want an ending like that in the book - it's very anti-climactic and decidedly un-cinematic. Don't get me wrong, the novella is perfect - with that ending - but I have no problem with a change when it's adapted IF it makes sense and works. But from what you're saying it doesn't work at all. The whole suicide/Army guys could've worked but you're right, the woman showing up at the end is just wrong. Too bad, I was looking forward to it.
