abs notes/pt

When abs switched to binary notes format awhile back they obviously broke pt's abs notes stuff; and Pat says there's nothing he can do about it w/o some help from abs. I posted on AP's forums a couple times and it never went anywhere.

So does anyone here know/have any idea what it would take for a standalone abs notes interface? I really hate not having offline notes so something that could read from/write to the Notes.dat would be pretty cool if possible.
