So why aren;t you getting your own place near school if you're paying rent as it is? I mean, it's going to be more, but it sounds like you're able to afford it.

Don't even know which Uni I'm going to. 2. Since I haven't started the course I would know no-one there anyway. 3. I want to live in halls for my first year. 4. I want to stay near my dad's house during the holidays since its where I grew up and I have a lot of close friends here.

I'm going to assume you had/have your own room when you go back to your parents during school holidays. Do Americans go home during x-mas/easter/summer or do you guys stay at college?
