Well you need to be able to play 100NL ... but that isn't impossible with a some effort

Try to think back to when you started playing poker professionally. What was your hourly then? How quickly did it increase? How much better now are you than then?

A typical amateur could play
50k hands per month @ 2PTBB/100 which is pretty bad but I'd say doable with some work @ 100NL =
1) around 800$ in rakeback
2) 2k $
80 hands/table/h for a conservative estimation = 625 tables per hour
So if you 6.25 table you play 100 hours
2.8k / 100 = 28$/h

I'd guess most people can 8 table without too much trouble after a little practice so
625/8 = around 78 hours of play
2.8k/ 78 = around 36$/h

Simpler version:
2PTBB/100 if you 8 table at 80 hands/hour:
640 hands/hour = 12.8PTBB + 0.8PTBB/100 in rakeback = roughly 18PTBB/hour = 36$/hour

To get a MT Ratio of 8, you would need to 9 table. Not that this is any harder.
