How much can a good/very good NL player make per hour at $2/5 NL live with 300-1000 buyins?

[/ QUOTE ]

you mean with 300bbs-1000bbs right?

making around 3k profit in a 12hour stint ant 2-5 seems like a good play from a good player.

around 250 an hour but more like 150-200 in reality

I meant the buyin is $300 to $1000, so between 60 and 200 BB is the buyin. I don't think $150/hr seems reasonable as a long term winrate in this game, thats 15 ptBB/hr?

I mean, I know good online players make 5ptBB/100, I think a really good player could make more live since the players are terrible, but offset by the fact that there are less hands/hour, are we lookin at like $40/hr?

Just was in Vegas playing the 2/5 NL at Wynn with a very good NL playing 2+2er. This question came up and he thinks he can beat it for at least 100 an hour, maybe more. I'd tend to think its closer to 150 than 40.

during the few months following the opening of 5-10 6-max on party i made $100/table/hr and tables averages around 75 hands (they were a little slower then) so that's about $130 per 100 hands. 6.5ptbb/100 or 13bb/100.

very few players exceeded that winrate in my database. mostly i think people had good runs over 50K hands and then you didn't hear from them.

now i would be surprised to see 5ptbb/100 over 200K in 5-10 6-max from anyone, including the winning 25-50 players. show me a trailing year database with better than that and 200K+ hands and i will be deeply impressed.

I would agree with that assessment. I haven't seen any long-term players book 5ptbb/100+ recently, and would be incredibly impressed by such a feat.

Personally, I'm running ~3-4 ptbb /100 over the last 150k and consider that a huge accomplishment in today's games. I've had a hot month or two and a crappy month or two but on the whole I feel to be running pretty average, I've def had my share of downswings.

Well, 4 PTBB/100 at 1kNL is $80/100, and that's still twice as good as 1 BB/100 at 20/40, and the two seem have comparable bankroll requirements. I'm not sure if 20/40 is beatable for more than that, and Stox's book sure put a big damper on any hopes of winning even that much at games bigger than 20/40. NL does look better, at least if I get good at it, but I appreciate the input so I know to keep my dreams in check.
