folded to the button (loose player with average aggression) who raises, i 3-bet, BB calls (no read at all), button calls.

It's a blind war, and you're getting 6:1 on a calldown. It's a tough spot to be in against an unknown, but I would call down, and expect to see a weaker pair or some kind of semibluff often enough.

I fold. This is one of those spots where a call down looks good because its a steal situation and hes unkown, but if you really try and put BB on a hand you can see you are [censored].

[/ QUOTE ] this is a good point. a call seems like the easy thing to do (meaning it requires little thought, not that its correct) yet if i am behind here its almost always drawing to two outs. while playing i figured he could have been protecting a pair and a draw and takign a free showdown. however, if you decide that he is doing that how do you decide whats safe to callon river? you get suckered into calling river almost always. |
