TPTK out of position. $25nl
Villain is 27/13 over 123 hands and has won 75% of hands at showdown.
Is my line too passive here with TPTK or am I right to keep the pot relatively small? Also, Villains bet on the end is relatively small. Should I raise him here as it's a sign of weakness or is he keeping it small so that I'll definately call? Re: TPTK out of position. $25nl
Raise preflop. After playing so passive preflop I just call down postflop.

Re: TPTK out of position. $25nl
AQ is one of those hands I can never quite make my mind up how to play from early position, sometimes I raise and sometimes I just limp. There's been a lot of raising at the table so I was happy enough to limp on this occasion.

Should I call or check-raise on the river?

Re: TPTK out of position. $25nl
Raise preflop. I raise AQ (both suited and offsuited) in every position. I cant give any good or bad advices because you totally messed up preflop.

Re: TPTK out of position. $25nl
*grunch* PLEASE raise this preflop. I hate open-limping on general principle but doing it with AQs is just bad as you're gonna be out of position post flop without having defined your hand or your opponent's. As played, call river even though you really have no idea what villain could have...raising probably won't win you more money but will certainly cost you more of you're beat.

Re: TPTK out of position. $25nl
I wouldn't limp/call in EP with AQ. I see it as a top-pair kind of hand, as such I dont want to be in a large limped multiway pot. I'm looking to isolate and take down a small-mid sized pot on the flop preferably, particularly OOP. So I raise preflop.
As played I think a check/call is okay on the flop, to catch a CB. I think I'd bet out on the turn though, to give incorrect pot odds should villian be drawing. As played i'd defo bet the river, you need to try and work out where you are, also you need to prevent him bluffing you out with a big bet. My opinion anyway =) |
