I have an idea:Now what?

Without going into too many details, I have an idea for a website that could possibly be profitable. Basically, it's a specialized networking site. What's the next step from here? I have minimal experience with building a website or anything like that, if that counts for anything. Just looking for any kind of help, thanks.
