Default .5/1$ HUCASH call?

Unfortunateley no real reads on villain as we just started playing there hasn't been a showdown yet, and I think we've seen 1 or 2 turns at most

Seat 1: hero ($45.40)
Seat 2: villian ($63.70)
hero posts the small blind of $0.50
villain posts the big blind of $1
The button is in seat #1
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to hero [K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
hero raises to $3
villain calls $2
*** FLOP *** [8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]
villain checks
hero bets $6
villain calls $6
*** TURN *** [8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] [A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
villian bets $54.70, and is all in
hero.....

The first question should be: why do you play 0.5/1 HU CASH?

Okay to play HU-cash but then you should play higher so you do not lose 20% of your stack in rake after 5 minutes. No player can overcome the rake.

If you play higher however, the rake doesnt matter THAT much and you can play cash.

Until then you should play HU SNGs.

I don't play cash, but I think I would fold because it looks like 2 pair or an ace protecting against a very drawy board. I think the possible reason for his overbet is that even if he bets pot you could have enough outs to call. Although some of his range is strong draws as well.

I think I would call turn if he went all in for about $25.

I would fold.

1.You may be beat.

2. Even if you are winning it will not be long until he tries this move again and then you can call him with a better hand.
