Last year I played in a home tournament with about 30 runners. First hand I look down at KK, put in a raise, SB calls, BB looks down at his cards and mucks his hand face up - he had J7, where the J was a Joker.

I was very pissed.

You got off light. I'm pretty sure you had less than 33% equity vs J7 and the SB's range.

The vast majority of dealers never bother to count the stub, but I DO. I've had to fix 53 card decks twice as the floor, and seen it four times. Once a 51 card deck nullified a high hand bonus (not on MY deal, I count the friggin' stub!). When the deck is fouled you must refund all money back to the blinds. The only exception is if someone knows the deck is fouled (say they have the Kh and there's a Kh on the board) and tries to win the pot anyway, they lose their $$

I count the stub religiously, first and last hand of down at a minimum. Usually somewhere in the middle also, plus I fake count a couple of times for the cameras.

My friends and I have a circuit of about 20 ppl that we play weekly.. No one could host so we went to his parents place and played a hand with the following cards all in preflop TT, KK, AA, AK, AQ, AK with a flop of A, K, T

We then realized that he grabbed his parents Pinochle deck.
My friend with AA didnt even realize he had 2 Aces of hearts!

Didn't someone get dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] at the WSOP last year? I'm sure I read it in the live updates.

8 person home tourney at my place a couple years ago, we are down to 3 players when we see 2 10c on the flop. Oops. One of the 2 decks we were using had been bad all night.

Almost the exact same thing happened in our home tourney game 2 years ago. I had folded the hand when the guy to my left leans over, shows me his 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hand and says "this shouldn't happen, should it?" It was a new deck at the start of the tournament but we hadn't checked through it before playing. We always do that now.

Saw 5 of a kind on the table behind me once. He rivered it and said "ummm I think I have the nuts." Table went nuts because they had been playing with that deck for at least 15 min. Then one time I showed a dealer the K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] had a notch in the corner (10 seat) and he said looks like you have an advantage, then kept dealing.
