Default dreams of river cr crushed by river check

villain is unknown, just sat at the table and no datamined stats. lead flop as i thought he would raise with big pp's flush draws and bluffs. by his flop call i had him on a flush draw. the rest went a bit wrong. any comments on how to get max value from these spots welcome and alternative lines that could get me a bigger pot..
obv was going for river crai. not sure about turn bet either

i had him on a flush draw and he checked behind with the nut flush (AJs). the thinking was if i check i can get my stack in while if i bet i dont think he raises. is it more ev to try and cr and get stacks in or put a bet out that could just get called down (pot) or to put a "block" bet that he could raise?

did feel like i left a lot of chips on the table in this one but in the long run whats best?

because if you put out a bet and he has the nut flush, at this level, hes going to a) probably shove b) at least call

if he has nothing, hes not going to do anything but check so therefore it is much more +EV to put some sort of bet out there, he DEFINATELY raises if he hit his flush-- this guy is a moron to call your bets and not try to win some money when his card came up

think in this situation im being to results orientated as i think if he checks behind on the river then he prob won't be raising a bet. at 100nl can i get away with open shoving here? what bet in general do you think is best? thanks for the help on this one!

I think he will only and olny call you with a flush, regardless of the size of your bet. A very passive villain will check behind even the nutflush if the board paris, also a small flush like 78. But he never folds to your bet unless you open push. So just bet pot or even a bit more than that, about 50 and he will call you with any flush.
