YUCK - i fold KK on non A turn
readless - new to table
i fold because i don't have a plan for the river and this is trips more often than a semi-bluff i'd be happy to hear other lines also villain limp called, which means his range is super wide on the flop check, but much narrower after the turn and turn min cr Poker Stars No Limit Hold'em Cash Game $1/$2 Blinds 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $205.50 BB: $111.00 UTG: $278.20 CO: $101.00 keikiwai (BTN): $197.00 Preflop: keikiwai is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players) UTG calls $2.00, CO folds, keikiwai raises to $10.00, 2 folds, UTG calls $8.00 Flop: ($23) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG checks, keikiwai bets $15.00, UTG calls $15.00 Turn: ($53) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG checks, keikiwai bets $30.00, UTG raises to $60.00, keikiwai folds Pot Size: $143.00 ($2 Rake) |

Re: YUCK - i fold KK on non A turn
Looks like a set to me, but I don't know if I could fold, esp. to a minraise.

Re: YUCK - i fold KK on non A turn
a minraise on the turn with no reads, yuck but i'm thinking 8s-10s, why else would we have limped from utg but a set is also very likely so without more information, i'd have to lean towards folding, maybe a 3?

Re: YUCK - i fold KK on non A turn
99 turned a full house. If I had 99 I would limp UTG then call. And probably c/c that flop if I didnt have a read on you. Then c/r the turn when I hit my FH. I wouldnt min raise though.

Re: YUCK - i fold KK on non A turn
According to Baluga Theorem you are beat, but there are so many factors that wouldnt make me lay it down
- the board is paired so there are only half as much set possibilities - the board is double suited which makes draws more likely (although the action makes it strange) - limp-calling can mean anything, so his range contains suited connectors as well as even maybe TT+ (he's unknown, but who knows how bad he plays his premiums). And what about A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ? So this is pretty much a shove or fold situation; calling is the worst option as you let draws hit or make river cards kill the action. If I'm in the zone, I'm shoving. |

Re: YUCK - i fold KK on non A turn
yeah i realize 99 turned the boat, since we don't know villan i don't know how hed play that hand, but that minraise just screams somethings odds with this hand, with no reads i'm probably just going to let it go, a 3 sooooted is likely too limp utg with no reads on villans play

Re: YUCK - i fold KK on non A turn
You really think a guy has trip 3s? I think the only hands you should be worried about here are 22 and 99, and frankly I don't mind stacking off to either here against an unknown. His minraise could have only been that he sensed weakness on your smallish turn bet, and has something like overs and a flush draw. Also bad players will often get stuck in a hand like this was something like 55-88. Dunno, I'm either calling or raising on the turn.
// Btw, the only time I would call here is if I think the guy is a bluff machine, and plan to call a river push regardless of what card hits. In this hand I think a push here is best. |
