Vegas Labor Day Week

Is there anything significant going on in Las Vegas during Labor Day week (9/2 through 9/8)? I'm planning a trip out there for that week, and a lot of the best deals are sold out. I didn't think that this would be a busy time, especially since it's been incredibly hot out there and my trip is after the end of the traditional summer vacation season. Is there some big convention in town?

I can't speak for the whole week, but any 3-DAY weekend in Vegas is HUGE! Plus it is the end of the summer, so many people are trying to squeeze in 1 more trip to Vegas before going back to school or work (teachers or have spouses who teach).

People often times linger around after a long-weekend so that don't have to take 5 days off from work to stay for a week. It is also the beginning of the College Football season!!!!

Had no trouble getting good rates the week BEFORE Labor Day.

I'll be there from 8/31 - 8/2. Staying at TI and playing poker for the room rate. I'm hoping the $1/$3 game gets a lot of tourists with large stacks.

I am going the Thursday after Labor Day. Got a nice deal on a room, and it is NFL season week 1! Nothing better than betting and watching football in a sports book with as many free drinks as I can suck down. God bless America.

ill be there fri to mon. dunno what ill play. proly 30/60 since my limit game is pretty rusty right now and dont have any live nl experience.
