TT UTG vs LPP in blinds
6 handed 5/10
Villain is 57/9/.9, datamined stats, don't really have a handle on him yet. Hero opens black TT utg, folds to BB who 3 bets, Hero caps. Flop K62 2 hearts BB donks, hero? I think I'm very likely in trouble here and I'm not sure about the cap but I had position so I figured why not. |

Umm..... fold?
Seriously, I can think of like 5 hands you're beating, AJ AQ 99 88 77 and that's being optimistic. |

Play passive (unless he checks) and don't fold (unless he raises).

Re: TT UTG vs LPP in blinds
Cap preflop is bad against this opponent. (His PFR is only 9%).
As for the flop, I simply call. Remember this guy is a little aggro post-flop. I think it would be good to re-evaluate on the turn here. Depending on what falls and if villain continues to bet out, your play may differ. AS |

Re: TT UTG vs LPP in blinds
I actually folded... looking back I was like wtf?? did I just cap/fold? So if I just call 3 bet and he bets into me on the flop is it just the standard call call call?

[/ QUOTE ] Generally, I think so, but it'll also depend on what falls and what villain does. Sometimes in these sitautions, I like raising the turn, then checking the river for the free showdown. It costs the same amount of bets. You can safely fold to a turn 3-bet, and this line punishes those who are pushing overcards, or draws (when they'll just check/fold the river when they miss). AS |
